What's Coming Up

The data collection phase of the research project itself was completed in November 2007.

The 3rd draft of the PhD thesis is currently being written up and the final submission is due in late September 2008.

A conference workshop entitled Enhance your online facilitation with storytelling has been submitted for the IAF North American conference in Vancouver, BC, Canada in April 2009. This has not been accepted as yet, however, roumour has it that it will be amongst the acepted proposals.

A summary chapter on The use of story in building online group relationships was published by Idea Group Inc. in late May 2008 in the Handbook of Research on Computer Mediated Communication.

A chapter entitled Facilitation Online that was based on and informed by the Onlinestory research project was written by Stephen Thorpe for The Art of Facilitation (2007) by Dr. Dale Hunter and published by Random House New Zealand.
